How Our Subscription T-Shirts Are Delivered Differently

Every year, companies produce thousands of plastic bags to package their consumer goods and ship them to customers. Plastic waste not only affects us but hangs around on earth for at least 2000 years. We don’t like that. That’s why we partner with Noissue to deliver our subscription t-shirts to you every month.

Our deliveries come in a sustainable bag made with 100% corn-based polymers. Even better is it doesn’t need a commercial compost facility to break down – add it to your home compost, and voila!

Better for you and better for the environment.

If you are a regular customer of our t-shirt subscription, we have outlined an intense guide for disposing our compostable mailers. Okay, kidding – it only involves three steps

  1. Remove those sticky adhesives such as the shipping label or sticky tape.
  2. Chuck it on the compost in your home garden
  3. Put on your shirt to celebrate.

What if I don’t have an at-home compost?

Okay, you without the compost, we hear you! Do not fear - sites like Eartheasy and Gardening Know How can show you how to set one up. Or simply look up local composting pick-up services.

Difference between biodegradable and compostable

We get that it can be pretty confusing, so here is the lowdown.

Everything will biodegrade, but no limits are set on how long it will take. When things are labeled as “biodegradable,” the environmental impact is not considered, with potentially harmful ingredients seeping into the ecosystem.

The bottom line for our t-shirt subscription?

Biodegradable is not as good as compostable.

Head over to our product page now and feel confident knowing the mailers for the subscription t-shirts you order are eco-friendly and compostable.
